| "I have always loved dancing and hated the idea of just shuffling round the dance floor to our first dance, so decided to take lessons. Michele was very encouraging and went at our own pace, which for my now husband was probably like many men, a resistant slow pace! On the day despite the nerves we both felt more confident having some vague idea that we knew what were doing. Christian admits that he was not keen to begin with, "however I now realise what those people who go on strictly come dancing do and that I have immense respect for them now". | "We had such a lovely day on 24 November, everything was so perfect, hopefully so was the dance. It went very well and everyone said that they really enjoyed it. We had a rehearsal of the dance on Friday night at the hotel and then hoped for the best on the day, I was so shocked that we both remembered the steps perfectly and we were in time with the music. When Mark first saw the dress he did say “how on earth will you be able to do your turns in that dress!!” As you will see we managed it, and Mark didn’t stand on my dress once. Thank you again for being patient with us and squeezing our lessons in at such short notice, I am so glad we did it and it was so memorable, we will always be able to look back and smile." - Rachel and Mark. |
